Foundation Development Manager

More than fundraising. An opportunity to shape what comes next.

Pelorus Foundation | West London, hybrid | £38,000 - £42,000

What if your next move could take you beyond fundraising and into shaping the future of a charity?

At Pelorus Foundation, we’re working to protect endangered wildlife and wild places for generations to come. We’re ambitious, collaborative and unafraid to challenge the status quo. Now, we’re looking for an experienced fundraising professional to help us grow.

This isn’t a role where you simply inherit a fundraising plan.

You’ll identify opportunities, build relationships and develop new income streams, while working closely with the Head of Foundation on wider planning, decision-making and the challenges of growing an ambitious charity.

You’ll also provide cover for the Head of Foundation when needed.

What you'll bring

  • A strong understanding of the UK funding landscape.

  • Experience turning research and prospects into funding applications, relationships and income.

  • The confidence to build networks, approach new funders and develop partnerships proactively.

  • The judgement and initiative to prioritise opportunities and work independently.

  • Excellent writing, organisation and analytical skills, plus a genuine interest in conservation.

We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running, think beyond their immediate remit and is ready to develop broader strategic and leadership experience. You don’t need to know everything about conservation, but you do need to know how fundraise.

Why join us?

In a small, evolving charity, your contribution is visible and your ideas can make a difference. You'll have genuine ownership and direct exposure to organisational decisions, and room to grow your skills and responsibilities as we develop.

Alongside flexible hybrid working, benefits include 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays, a birthday day off, an addtional conservation day, a contributory pension and opportunities for professional development. Our shared Fulham offices also offers free weekly yoga, Cake Tuesdays and monthly team breakfasts.

Ready to make a difference?

Download the job pack for further details. Email your CV and a cover letter explaining what you'd bring to Pelorus Foundation to justine@pelorusfoundation.com by 5pm on Monday 23 November 2026.

You must have the right to work in the UK. We are unable to sponsor international applicants.
