Foundation Operations Coodinator

Help us make a difference for wildlife and wild places.

Location: Hybrid, with at least two days a month in our West London office | Hours: Part-time, 24 to 32 hours per week | Salary: £28,000 per annum, pro rata.

Help a small charity make a big difference.

At Pelorus Foundation, we champion innovation and empower individuals and local communities to protect endangered wildlife and wild places for future generations.

We're a small, ambitious charity that isn't afraid to challenge the status quo. To help us grow and work effectively, we're looking for an organised, proactive Operations Coordinator who enjoys bringing order to complexity, solving practical problems and helping a team achieve its goals.

A varied role where the details matter.

You’ll help keep the charity organised, connected and running smoothly. Working across the team, you'll coordinate day-to-day operations, maintain accurate records and information, support fundraising and communications, and help improve the systems we rely on.

Your work will include:

  • Keeping things organised: coordinating meetings, documents, deadlines, actions and shared records.

  • Managing information and systems: maitaining contract data, supporting our CRM and improving processes.

  • Supporting fundraising: researching potential funders, maintaining trackers and helping coordinate applications and supporter communications.

  • Helping with communications: supporting social media scheduling, digital campaigns, website updates and content organisation.

  • Finding better ways to work: using digital tools thoughtfully, and suggesting practical improvements.

What we're looking for

You'll have experience in administration, operations, coordination or a similar role, with strong organisational skills and an eye for detail. You'll be confident using digital tools, able to manage competing priorities and comfortable working independently without needing close supervision at every step.

Just as importantly, you'll be adaptable, dependable and willing to get involved wherever support is needed. An interest in wildlife conservation and the environment is essential.

Why join Pelorus Foundation?

This is an opportunity to play a practical part in the work of an ambitious, evolving charity. You'll work closely with a small team, contribute ideas, take ownership of agreed processes and develop your skills as the charity grows.

Benefits include:

  • 25 days' annual leave, pro rata, increasing annually, plus bank holidays.

  • A day off for your birthday and an additional conservation leave day.

  • A contributory pension scheme.

  • Training and professional development.

  • Access to our shared Fulham office, including weekly yoga, Cake Tuesdays and monthly breakfasts and networking drinks.

  • Working hours can be discussed within the 24 to 32 hour range, with mutual agreement.
